The Flagstaff Children’s Garden is a playful, whimsical garden that celebrates children of our community that we have lost too soon. Similar to a ribbon in form, the design for the garden undulates and weaves within the native Kaibab Limestone, hills and groves of Ponderosa pines of the site. The main thread of the garden is composed of steel elements.
Depending on their context, the steel takes on a different function – an entry archway, a way-finding element, a kinetic sculpture. The elements culminate into a a colorful memorial dedicated to the children of Flagstaff.
